Question When can I start purchasing duty free goods?: Answer
Available to purchase it starting 90 days before your departure date.

*In the case of on-site delivery of domestic products by foreigners, you can purchase them 60 days before the departure date.
If your departure date has not yet been confirmed or you do not plan to leave the country, you cannot make purchases.
Please keep this in mind.
Question How can I use M points from my Hyundai credit card: Answer
M points may be used for up to 10% of a payment of at least KRW 300,000. This is a benefit that is provided for Hyundai credit card holders only.
Question What is the limit for Korean purchases and the amount of the limit for bringing in?: Answer

As of March 18, 2022, the duty-free purchase limit for Koreans has been abolished.
The duty-free limit applied to Korean travelers' carry-on items will be maintained at $800 (alcohol, cigarettes, and perfume are subject to a separate limit).

Question Can I change the payment method I used at an offline store?: Answer
Once the purchase has been finalized, neither the payment method nor number of installment months can be changed. You must first cancel the purchase and then re-purchase items using the desired payment method.
Question Do I need to have a physical passport when purchasing from an offline store?: Answer

Yes.

Purchases may be made by presenting an electronic passport via Trip.PASS.

In this case, please note that you must also present proof of ticket purchase.

Question How do I earn Korean Air miles?: Answer

One mile can be earned per $5 spent on purchases of $100 or higher (excluding discounts (e.g. points, pre-paid gift card)).

- Miles may be earned only by members with Korean nationality.

- It can take up to eight weeks for miles to be received after pick-up. Miles cannot be received after this period.

- Miles may not be earned if the name on your Skypass member account is different from the name on your passport.
Question What is the minimum age for making purchases at an offline store?: Answer
Purchases can be made by any customer regardless of age as long as they present their passport.

※ Minors cannot purchase liquor or cigarettes.

Only customers who are 14 years old or older can apply for membership. Customers who are 13 years old or younger can only make purchases as a non-member.
※ For HDDFS Online, individuals 13 years old or younger cannot make purchases even as non-members.
Question How can I pay with a gift certificate?: Answer
Only Hyundai Department Store gift certificates can be converted into cash points to be used toward a purchase.

Question I will be departing from Jeju International Airport. Is there anything that I’m forbidden to purchase?: Answer
Flammable items (perfumes, batteries, cosmetics or hairspray, etc.) cannot be purchased because they are not permitted on planes headed to Jeju International Airport. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Question Can I get a cash receipt for a wire transfer?: Answer
Tax law was amended so that, as of February 12, 2019, cash receipts cannot be issued for duty free purchases.
